About Us

Latin American Association

Established in 1974 the Latin American Association of WA Inc. aims to create a family orientated Association and Club that values friendships, community interaction and traditional Latin American values; whilst embracing the values, traditions and friendships that Australia, provides and offers.

"The Latin American Association's goal is to cultivate understanding and fellowship of Latin cultures and society through promotion and appreciation."

Whilst the Latin American Association welcomes all comers it strives to create a safe and enjoyable environment for both adults and children encouraging the highest principles of integrity, honesty, the value of the self and the community.

"Walking with a friend in the dark is better than walking alone in the light." Helen Keller.

The Latin American Association holds many values, morals and ethics dear, but none is held higher than friendship. The bond of friendship is always at the forefront of all our activities.

Community Interaction

A major goal of the Latin American Association is community interaction. In a world climate where suspicion, stereo types and mistrust seem to be the norm the Association seeks to break down barriers by interacting and bringing communities in good will. Our main avenue is through our major activity the Perth Amateur Soccer World Cup (PASWC).

Latin American and Australian Traditions and Values

Although the Latin American Association seeks to maintain a close relationship with traditional Latin American culture and values it also understands the need to embrace the culture and values of its home, Australia.
